Trk's Bratwurst
This recipe is from the late Robert Gerstacker - an artist who was formerly a sniper on the Eastern front with 26 confirmed kills.
Ingredients:
1 pound of ground pork
4 slices of bacon
1 tsp salt
1 tsp coarse black pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp marjorum (or basil for Italian style)
2 tsp parsley
1 small onion
1/2 cup ice water
1/2 tbs corn starchMethod:
Have bacon ground in with pork
cut/dice onion thinly
add all ingrediants
soak casings in warm salted water before using
stuff into casings (not easy to do with out equipment)Enjoy - Tim K
