Tennessee Pear Pie

Peel and slice 4 large pears Cook in 1 cup of water for 10 minutes Drain (saving the water) and add 2 T butter to the pear slices Prepare 2 - 9" pie dough
Mix:
3/4 c sugar
2 T cornstarch
1/4 t allspice
1/4 t nutmeg
1/2 t cinnamon
Add:
1/2 c water from pears
2 T honey
1 T lemon juice
Bake at 425 for 30 - 35 minutes
Serving suggestion:
Serve warm with real whipped cream or a scoop of real vanilla bean ice cream
