CarpetMan's Biscuits
I posted this once before and to my knowledge nobody reported back trying it. My dad was the worlds champion biscuit maker bar none. His recipe was simple. He took self-rising flour and buttermilk with a dash of salt and mixed it together to form a stiff paste. He formed this into biscuits by hand (no cutter) and put them in a greased pan---could use a pie pan if not doing a large batch--larger batch a pizza pan works well (don't use the pan you use for anything associated with bullet casting). When placed onto the pan place them upside down first so the top gets greased. Bake till done. If you do try this simple recipe I'd like to hear a report about how they turn out. Mine turn out good--but never as good as my dads did.???
